Show Notes…
Hugh suffers, albeit momentarily, from control board envy. And no, the profanity delay should not be conflated with suppression of First Amendment Rights. Don’t go there. We then get down to work…
The Fundamental Level of Regular Folks Involvement is the Vote
We touch on election integrity.
“The franchise” is not the local ownership of Mcdonald’s or Five Guys. The franchise is the most fundamental of all rights – the true power of regular folks – the right to vote.
Hugh and Scott both believe that “Motor Voter” in the state of Colorado has made our voting roles terribly inaccurate. It leads to situations like THIS and is ripe for fraud.
Scott offers an interesting question – should voting be “easy.” It should be secure. It should be trusted. But is “easy” the goal?
Hugh was caught up in the “easy” quandary of Motor Voter. Allegations were found to be completely false and summarily dismissed.
As we move on in the primary, questions hang over our heads.
Hugh speaks of irregularities in the primary of State Rep Mary Bradfield, who lost access to the ballot by one vote (the vote of regular folks undoubtedly matters!).
Hugh speaks of a loose process and irregularities in his own assembly.
For some, is “integrity” actually “wintegrity” – the only time that integrity matters is when you don’t win. Don’t play that game – make it truly about integrity, win or lose.
